Using the site

DevToolery is provided free of charge for anyone to use, including at work and on commercial projects. There is no licence to accept and no account to register.

No warranty

The tools are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind. They are written carefully and tested, but a formatter can have bugs and an edge case can produce a wrong result. Check important output before relying on it — particularly anything that touches production systems, money, or security.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using the site, including lost data, lost profits, or consequences of an incorrect conversion. Since your data never reaches us, we also cannot restore anything you lose.

Acceptable use

Do not use DevToolery to process material you have no right to process, and do not attempt to use it as a component in attacking someone else's systems. Automated scraping that degrades the service for others is not welcome.

Availability

There is no uptime commitment. The site may change, and individual tools may be altered or removed. Because the tools run locally, a cached copy will usually keep working even if the site is unreachable.

Governing terms

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the updated terms.
