Using the command palette

The fastest way to reach any of the 104 tools.

The palette opens from any page and searches every tool by name, alias and keyword.

Opening it

  • ⌘K on macOS, Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux.
  • / on its own, provided you are not already typing in a field.
  • The search box in the header.

Searching well

Search by what you want to do rather than by our name for it. Tools carry several aliases each, so “epoch” finds the timestamp converter, “beautify” finds the formatters, and “b64” finds the Base64 tools.

Without a query

Opening the palette with an empty box shows your recently used tools first, then a curated shortlist. Recents come from this browser and can be turned off in the privacy centre.

Keyboard only

  • ↑ and ↓ move through results.
  • Enter opens the highlighted tool.
  • Esc closes without navigating.
